Eagle Rock

I bought my house in Eagle Rock, or as I call it: The Rock, in March 2014. My best friend, his wife, and their 1 year old son live next door in a house I sold to them in October 2013, and just this past November, I sold a house to another one of my best friends just a few blocks away. The town has changed quite a bit in the last 4 years with new restaurants on Colorado Blvd like Red Herring, Little Beast, Posto Giusto, Milkfarm, and most recently Piencone, but it still has that small-town neighborhood feeling with your longtime institution restaurants like The Oinkster, Casa Bianca Pizza, Colombo’s, and Cacao Mexicatessen. I was single when I bought my house, but now I am married with two dogs and a baby on the way. My house has changed as well in the last four years – most recently, my pool table was switched out for a dining room table – and it will no doubt continue to change. Growing up in Westwood, I was not familiar with Eagle Rock, and had not considered living on the Eastside, but Eagle Rock has become my home now, and I love it.
